I knew all the flooding the Houston area received would bring out all the water loving Reptiles and Amphibians. So I decided to take the family to find some of he nightlife. We only photographed and some I handled and released. My wish is that everyone could know the difference between venomous and non-venomous. Sadly species of snakes are confused with the dangerous ones and are needlessly killed. Here are some of the pictures from our little trip. By the time we were finished we managed to find seven cottonmouth's (a.k.a. water moccasin), surprisingly only two water snakes, countless bullfrogs, southern toads and western toads, lots of crayfish, two skunks, one possum and some leopard frogs.
